Our History...

The Rebel Heart Irish Dancer's official inception was in January of 2007, when a 17 year old Irish Dancer decided to trade in competition for performance. Miss Stephanie convinced her artistic and athletic family - who had just concluded a run of The Nutcracker - to learn a few easy Reels and Jigs. After only two short months of preparation, the group made their March debut with 18 performances.

What started out as just a hobby for Miss Stephanie, has grown into a solid, ever growing group of "extended family" - over 100 dancers! Members of RHID have made over 150 appearances and counting since our humble beginning. Our goal is to help dancers find their love of dance without the stress or negativity that comes from competition.

  • February 2009 - Rebel Heart gets a few new dancers
  • June 2008 - Performed "Lord of the Rings" dance drama at the State Museum Theater
  • May 2008 - Appeared on the Hershey Theater Stage
  • September 2007 - Participated in Ballroom dance convention, premieres first hard shoe dance
